It seems so recently that I was waiting in the lobby for mum to arrive from the Hospital. We had no idea whether she would live for weeks, months or years. The time she was with you was very special as you took her under your collective wing. There was a certain amount of relief as the burden was lifted from me, but there was much more than that too; the certainty that she was surrounded by cheerful, kind and affectionate care on top of sheer professionalism. Sally and I sensed it all the moment we walked through the door on the day we toured all our options.
