Our kitchen has been awarded the highest possible score of five by “Scores on the doors” by environmental health.
All our food is homemade and prepared on site. We also cater for special occasions such as strawberry teas, BBQ’s and buffet lunches for residents and relatives.
Special diets are also catered for.

At RedHouse Nursing Home, we go the extra mile to ensure our residents enjoy the freshest, healthiest meals by growing some of our own vegetables in our garden polytunnel. This hands-on approach allows us to cultivate a variety of seasonal produce, right on our doorstep. Not only does this guarantee peak freshness and flavour, but it also provides an opportunity for residents to engage with nature and participate in gardening activities if they wish. Our polytunnel is a testament to our dedication to sustainability, self-sufficiency, and creating a vibrant, homegrown dining experience for everyone.
We were very happy with the service offered by the Redhouse. As we visited daily we are in a position to state that staff were caring and attentive.The nursing care was reassuring. The house keeping exemplary. Cleaning, laundry and domestic details were attended to with regular efficiency. The meals were appropriate for our mother's dietary requirements. We are grateful to the Redhouse for the sanctuary they gave our mother in her final few months.
